Twelve women. Twelve voices. One riot.
This series was born from encounters with women who, in different ways, engage daily in struggles for social and environmental justice, on the streets, within their communities, online, and inside the systems they seek to challenge.
Here, riot is understood not only as revolt, but as movement, disruption, refusal, solidarity. It is the act of taking space, speaking, caring, resisting - sometimes loudly, sometimes quietly, but always with intention. Riot is not used as chaos, but as collective rupture, a break from passivity and a rejection of systems built on extraction, inequality, violence, and invisibility.
The women portrayed move across multiple forms of action: protest, grassroots organizing, mutual aid networks, digital activism, education, radical care, and ecological defense.
Shot entirely on Polaroid, the images resist perfection and control. Each frame holds something immediate and unstable, a presence that cannot be fully contained. What emerges is not a series of individual portraits, but a collective force.
These women embody an activism that is fluid, interconnected, and constantly evolving. It is no longer bound to a single space, language, or generation, but moves between physical and digital worlds, between collective demonstrations and everyday acts of resistance.
This project is not only about representation, but about power: about women as agents of transformation, and about the strength that emerges when voices come together, refuse silence, and challenge the structures that seek to contain them.
One voice can be ignored. Many become impossible to dismiss.

After going through legal proceedings following sexual violence, she filed a complaint against France with the European Court of Human Rights to denounce, in particular, secondary victimization. With the support of the Notre Ohrage campaign, she is fighting for greater consideration for victims of sexual violence. She is the founder of the Murphy Project, a support initiative dedicated to victims undergoing legal proceedings. She is still awaiting the ECHR’s decision.
